The compatible AJ-T20Y cartridge that I Refilled is leaking
If your cartridge is leaking while you are refilling it
through a fill hole that you made in the cartridge:
- The fill hole may need to be enlarged so that it is big enough for the
needle to fit in it with room to spare so air can escape as you inject the
ink. If the needle is a snug fit in the hole that you made, the hole
should be enlarged so that air can get out of the cartridge through the fill
hole while you are refilling the cartridge. If the hole is not bigger
than the width of the needle, a vacuum may force the ink to squirt out of
the cartridge and make a mess.

If an excessive amount of ink is leaking out of the cartridge after you have
completed all of the refill steps, it could be that too much ink has been injected for the internal sponge to hold:
- Remove some of the ink (up to 2 milliliters) from the cartridge.

If your cartridge is leaking the bulk of the ink out of the cartridge after you
have completed all of the refill steps, it could be that the cartridge has been
sitting empty for too long. The internal sponge may not
be able to soak up the ink.
- If the sponge is no longer viable, there is no repair for this and you will need a new cartridge.
