The TN430 cartridge that I Refilled is printing poorly or not at printing at all
If you are getting dark Vertical Stripes down the page when you print:
- Something (moisture: etc.) may be on the drum (green, pink, or blue metallic bar that runs the length of the cartridge). This can be cleaned off with a soft bristle brush (i.e. paint
brush). NOTE: Be careful, the drum can by damaged by being exposed to direct light. For this reason, you will want to do this activity away from direct light.
- If there is a noticeable scratch on the drum, the drum will need to be replaced.

If all, or part, of the printed page is faded/light:
- Something may be on the drum (green or blue metallic bar). This can be cleaned off with a soft bristle brush (i.e. paint brush).
- Drum could have been exposed to direct light. Direct light can damage a drum rendering it useless.

Prints are coming out with splotches or page covered in toner:
The cartridge has to be cleaned extremely well prior to adding any new toner. If this is not done properly, shading can occur
on your prints. These cartridge/drum combinations do not have a waste toner hopper. The waste toner for your cartridge/drum
combination is actually recycled back into the toner hopper. There is a recharging mechanism that constantly keeps the toner charge balanced in your cartridge. If you add “new” toner to the cartridge without fully removing the “old” toner, this mechanism cannot balance the “old”
and “new” toner combination properly and you might see gray shading on your prints. Then, the cartridge will have to be emptied
of the “contaminated” toner, cleaned out, and new toner should be inserted. (TB3) |
